| | The course was really good except for the fact that there was too much singletrack and the faster riders couldn't get past. Got knocked off once when some d***head tried to get past through a gap no bigger than the handlebars nearly a stand up arguement with some other bloke who took umbridge when I wouldn't move over. Oh and my back wheel buckled and turned into a dustbin lid, and I only managed one lap, apart from that it was brilliant |

| I'd like to do the Bulith Merida in April and the Exposure Night Out as well-55k in two days (30k night ride then 25k day ride) unless anyone wants to do more in the day. Darren is doing the day ride-any takers?

| I can answer here saves using the phone Ive got room in my car Andy as Im traveling alone at the moment. I ve booked to do the 50km ride on the sunday (I think its about 45km). Im going to want to travel over early on the Saturday. then get the tent setup, hopefuly it won't be as crowded as last year! we were shareing tent pegs! Once thats all done get out and have a ride during the day on Saturday. I think things may be a bit busy round Builth so thought about going over to Llanwryd wells or down to Brecon and do the Gap again.
Who else is attending?
I'm not doing the night ride my lights are ok if I know the trail but not going to go flying down an unknow trail. I know on last years Builth event there were a few tricky sections with some really slippery roots.
The 25k day ride is for the kids |

| Guys, don't underestimate the night ride! I dont know how much experiance you have of night riding but while the top guys were back in under 2 hours last year some of the other guys took over 4 1/2 hours and their lights had run out of power. It was a very cold wet and muddy night tho. If you want a real challenge, go for it but take spare lights! The first Meridia of the season is much less packed than the others. You wont have any problem camping, Mark and I slept in our cars last year it was so cold (ok so I forgot the tent poles as well) What ever, you still have to do at least the 50K the following day, the 25K is for the kids and the girls (sorry Fizz not you!) |
