A good indication for any area is using the ACORN geodemographic classification. (Used by Esate Agents/ Mortgage Lenders / Insurance Companies etc)

You can do it yourself for free here

Enter your postcode, then click on the " Read your neighborhood profile" on the right hand side. Read down and this gives you a value from 1 - 56.

Classification table is here

But bascially 1 = Kensington Square, London and 56 is the bronx in Glasgow !

Woburn Sands is a 3 Very Happy
Bradwell Common is a 10 Very Happy

We lived in Bradwell Common for over 6 years (3 years ago). We were tucked away in a quiet corner (Walkhampton Avenue) and we were quite happy. It is quite a big estate so different parts are more desirable than others. The pub was always sticky carpet and a bit rough so we only ever went there once. Not sure what it is like now. Chippy was always good and the corner shop handy.

We liked it because it was so central and we could easily get a taxi (or even walk if we were feeling energetic) to the evening attractions.

But like any inner city estate you get your undesirables walking through at night being noisy. We didn't have any trouble though apart from the odd car being broken into, but that's hard to escape anywhere in MK if you leave goodies on display!

Hope this helps a bit.
