| I'll be doing the 100k route on Sunday unfortunately a mate of mine has dropped out of the 100k'er due to work commitments, does anyone want to take his place? You'll have to be called Jared Anderson for the duration though. Steve |

I'm heading up on Friday to my home town (Workington) it's about half hours drive from Penrith. I'll be in Penrith on Saturday to register so whoever is going please give me a bell at some point so we can meet up.

| Well what a great weekend at the BikeFest in Penrith, well organised, loads going on both biking and non-biking and a good venue. OK so it was a little muddy when the rain came on Friday evening but the beer tent had a raised wooden floor and the tractor load of hay soon soaked up most of the mud around the arena on Saturday. With over 1200 entries in the Merida on Sunday this was a cracking course slightly muddy in places but some real challenging climbs and no rain on the day until about 5pm. I met up with Gareth of Red Kite fame afterwards, this was his first ever ride in England but he admitted to having to carry his bike up some of the rocky trails and was seriously worried about some of the descents; on top of that he was a whole hour behind the leaders at the 65k stage. For me the 50k (45k) was more than enough, a fall and a slightly sprained wrist slowed me down (is it possible to go any slower you might ask!)But it was a good ride and a great atmosphere. Aviemore, Scotland next

| I did the full route but was really disappointed with my time of seven hours. I was aiming for a sub 5 but I was held up for the first 45k or so. Stu and I made the mistake of lining up for the race too late so we started at the back and it turned into a fecking nightmare. The 100k route was very difficult especially the extra loop added on for the 100k. I’ve recorded the route so I’ll post it at some point.

| Steve check out this LINK
It gives you a step by step guide of how to display a pic. (Alos located in the FORUM HELP section.
Simple really. Just put after.
Bit like this picture of Andy Soper on the front of a Tandem:
