PostSubject: Karma.........out again !!   Mon Jan 15, 2007 11:06 am

The Karma was out in force again yesterday on the trails.

We rode over to the top of the steps that have been put in on the Aspley side, and attempted to ride down. Half way down I decided to put my front break on for some unknown reason and went straight over the bars. About what felt like 2 seconds and 8ft later I landed in a heap on the steps with by bike arriving shortly after. At the bottom it was rightly pointed out that maybe the steps have been put there for a reason and we should descend into the valley using one of the other 9 routes and not this one as we are making a mess of the ground to the right of the steps (and my shoulders). In hindsighty a good shout (ref shoulders and ground!).

So when we came back over the road and climbed back to the car park we bumped into some d1ck head on a trials bike in the woods, passing horses and everything! So I politely asked him what the f**k he was doing. He replied with "ah don't worry I've been riding mountain bikes here for 15 year" which made it hard to believe he would then come up on a motorbike. A prize chopper.

The moral of this story......well there aint one really apart from dishing out some mutual respect!

I'm off to hug a tree in the middle of Hyde Park.

Very Happy
