| Ello,
With Nath doing the business and passing his course, thought I would look into some other things that the club could maybe do together as a weekend away.
I came across this webby www.dirtschool.co.uk
The courses are run up in scotland by Chris Ball a Pro Downhiller and freeride bloke. They are aimed at EVERYONE,from complete novices right up to Pro riders. They tackle everything from North Shore through to general riding and crossing stuff like rock gardens and root sections.
I thought maybe a few of us could go up there, and maybe next year we could do the A-Line in Whistler.....

| At a risk of hijacking this thread, I've been thinking a skills course is not a bad idea. Possibly one not so far away or potentially so full on.
At the end of last year me and my wife parked the kids for the day and did a one days skills clinic with A Quick Release at Sherwood Pines, near Mansfield. Abt 1hr north of MK.

There was an initial assessment of riding ability. The group of eight were split in two. My group spent the morning working a series of corners. I started at what I thought was a reasonably quick pace, discovered lines, weighting front wheel, carving corners and finished much, much faster. Ingrid was learning how to climb and descend in control. Lunch at cafe followed by a bit of bike fettling. Then I spent the afternoon on one wheel trying to manual, followed by technical climbing. Whilst Ingrid was on the corners. We both came away enthused and better riders. The course can be tailored to our needs but the instructors maintain that everyone who takes the course learns something.
If I get some interest I can check dates and we could organise our own session for one Saturday over the summer.
Price would be about £30 each for the day

| These are fantastic and good for all of us, especially the ones who think they are `indestructible`. I think it would also encourage the `girls` to do some more cycling and possible appeal to partners who don`t have the cycling bug yet!
Gr8!
Cheers!
