Hi Everyone!

As an alternative to the muddy stuff I am proposing to do a road ride on Sunday 24 Feb.
Start time: 10am at our normal meeting point at the woods.
For those of you taking part in The Cheshire Cat this would constitute as a good training ride....! Ha!
I intend to cover a distance of 60-70 miles at a moderate pace (15mph av) so this should suit everybody!
The terrain will be undulating and I intend to have the obligatory cafe stop as well (probably at Ivinghoe)
There is already some interest so those wishing to go just turn up with your wheels on Sunday.

Those who have already expressed an interest are; Mick, Mark P, & Dave.

Cheers!

I don't know BG is always late tongue
First time Ive been to the cafe at Ashridge very nice soup and cake.
Things were a bit gloopy in places with most of the bridleways bady cut up by horses but most have little "cheeky" trails that run parallel to the main paths.
Some of the bridleways getting to ashridge were hard going to say the least really in bad condition from horses and tractors really leg burners in places.
I didn't manage as many miles as the dirty roadies but I did have the mud to contend with I done just under 30 miles in the end

How many miles did the roadies then?

Must of been a lot if they got to Ashridge later than 1.15.
